Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but my hamster has been making weird squeaking noises lately when she's sleeping. It's happened before and it usually goes away. Is it possible that my hamster could have a cold? There is no discarge around the eyes/nose, and she has been eating and drinking, so I'm not too worried yet.
I usually turn my fan on at night (more for the noise than it cooling the air), but I am very careful to cover my hamster's cage so she isn't exposed to drafts. I know hamsters can catch human colds, but I haven't been sick for months.
Anyway, I gave her a honey treat and she seems to be enjoying that at the moment. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
